  • 0.5 cupsliced chicken or pork
  • 200 gHokkien noodles (7 oz)
  • 1.5 cupsChinese cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cupbean sprouts
  • 1 cupbroccoli florets
  • 1 cupshredded carrot
  • 2shallot/scallion stems, cut into 4cm/2" slices
  • 2 tbspoil
  • 0.25 cupReal Chinese All Purpose Stir Fry Sauce — Real Chinese All Purpose Stir Fry Sauce
  • 1 cupwater
  • white pepper to taste
  1. 1Heat oil in wok over high heat. Add the meat and stir fry until coloured, then add the cabbage and stir fry until the cabbage is starting to wilt and the meat is cooked. Remove from wok and set aside.
  2. 2Add the noodles, Stir Fry Sauce and water, bring to boil and stir occasionally until the water reduces to become thick and a sauce consistency.
  3. 3Return the other ingredients to the wok, quickly toss to combine, season to taste with pepper and stir occasionally. Serve immediately.

Notes

Requires Real Chinese All Purpose Stir Fry Sauce (recipe-017). Prepared in the traditional way — boiling the noodles in the sauce so it absorbs the flavour.
