Ingredients

  • 1 cupbutter
  • 2 cupall-purpose flour
  • 4 tbspgranulated sugar (¼ cup)
  • 0.5 tspvanilla extract
  • 2 cupfinely chopped pecans

Method

  1. 1Cream butter and sugar, add vanilla, flour, and pecans.
  2. 2Roll into little balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  3. 3Bake at 275°F for 45 minutes.

Notes

Quantities approximate — faded/photocopied community cookbook source. Variation from Miss Zinyewski and Mrs. Kulmeczewski: substitute ¼ cup honey for the sugar. These are a pecan butter ball style cookie, similar to Russian tea cakes.
