  • 1 tspbaking powder
  • 1 tspbaking soda
  • 2 tspground cinnamon
  • 0.5 tspground nutmeg
  • 0.5 tspground cloves
  • 0.5 tspsalt
  • 0.5 cupbutter, softened
  • 1.5 cupswhite sugar
  • 1 cupcanned pumpkin puree
  • 1egg
  • 1 tspvanilla extract

glaze

  • 2 cupsconfectioners' sugar
  • 3 tbspmilk (plus more as needed to achieve drizzling consistency)
  • 1 tbspbutter, melted
  • 1 tspvanilla extract
  1. 1Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ground cloves, and salt; set aside.
  2. 2In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and white sugar. Add pumpkin, egg, and 1 teaspoon vanilla to the butter mixture and beat until creamy. Mix in the dry ingredients. Drop on cookie sheet by tablespoonfuls; flatten slightly.
  3. 3Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Cool cookies completely, then drizzle glaze with a fork.
  4. 4To make the glaze: Combine confectioners' sugar, milk, melted butter, and vanilla. Add milk as needed to achieve drizzling consistency.
